Have you ever walked into a showroom and the product line just resonated with you? You know, an overwhelming euphoric feeling that leaves you speechless.
This recently happened to me while visiting the Fuse showroom. Fuse is an up-and-coming business that attracts a continuous flow of architects, interior designers, and other artistically-inclined design enthusiasts.
Immediately, I was drawn to the sleek and modern furniture design and unique art pieces. I could easily picture my home and office space filled with these one-of-a-kind furnishings, wall covers, fabrics, lighting, and art pieces. It seemed as if each object had a story to tell.
Owner, Christine, is as interesting and vibrant as the products she displays. She told me that the concept of Fuse came long before January’s grand opening. Christine and her husband Ron have known for years that they wanted to create a business focused on their passion for design and products that are fun, yet beautifully designed. They wanted to offer pieces that would bring “light, enthusiasm, and meaning” to homes and work spaces.
With that in mind, Christine and Ron work tirelessly with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design students. They find the benefits to be two-fold. MCAD students are provided the exposure needed to showcase their work, and clients are offered individually-made quality works of art. All pieces have purpose and personality.
Christine went on to explain that she works with “smart manufacturers” who are environmentally conscious. Christine and Ron want Fuse to have a reputation for well-built products with timeless style. There’s no need for constant remodeling to the latest trends.
Many people are taking notice of this influential company. Within months of opening shop, Christine was honored with the coveted Business Women’s Circle outstanding accomplishment award.
When asked about her secret to success, Christine simply replied that she is true to her passion. She finds ways to give back to the community and support others – this is what makes every day more fulfilling.
While the Fuse Gallery is always open to the public, Christine and Ron work directly with interior designers, architects, and those in the trades.
